has anyone tried using clarkconnect as a firewall

I was thinking about removing my aging linksys 4 port wired router and playing with clark connect. I have 2 pc's on my lan, and a Sonicwall for my wireless. The Sonic is a pain in the u know what to configure and do port forwarding ETC ETC for FTP, HTTP. I was thinking about doing a clarkconnect for my firewall and putting my Sonicwall into access point mode and just grabbing a dhcp ip from my clarkconnect server? has anyone attempted this or something like it?

I've never done clarkconnect, but have done smoothwall in the past, which more than sufficed for routing and firewall cover.

I just put my server on a static ip and the rest of my lan is going thru my sonicwall. i tried PFSENSE and it was giving me issues so i wiped the sandbox i was gonna use for my new router. So until next time when i find another router distro that will work for me and is easy to configure.
Thanks for your advise about smoothwall i may try that over the weekend.
