GUI to view audit logs

Does anyone know of an already written GUI to view audit logs from the auditd process? This is for a system in which the user will not have access to normal editors such as vi or emacs. The GUI should support the ability to specify a date range to only view entries in that range.

I've looked at SNARE Agent for Linux and it does not provide enough of the functionality that I'm looking for.

Any help that can be provided would be appreciated.

www.splunk.com Commercial application, but free for up to 500 MB of audit data per day, minus some admin functions.
