GRUB Password

hi, running redhat AS 4 on dual booting with XP. I want when i start my system it ask for password before booting.does it possible any how ?

i suppose u want ur system to ask for password as soon as u switch on the system right??
then:
it is possible if u set password in bios.here there are two options one password for the bios and another for the system access.
In grub u can assign password so that no one other then u (since u know the passwd) can edit grub options or /boot record thats it.

Do you want to password protect GRUB??

Do you want to password protect your system before it boots into you system?
Set a BIOS password as already mentioned....by kashyap.

If not...what do you want to do?
