I have a linux box running for ftp / samba / and other such services and i have 2 windows xp computers for more home use such as just playing games and internet browsing.... my linux box and my main computer are on the same desk and some times my wife wants on my computer to play games that wont run on hers well when this happens and i can not be infront of my linux box and i want to log in from her windows computer i have to use telnet i have read on ssh and can find no where that it supports any type of windows client so thus my question is there any way i can log in to my linux box from a computer running windows that has a secure connection via encryption ?

Try using a program called "putty". You can do a search on the web and it'll direct you to their web. Download the putty program and install it on your Win box. When you run the program, it's in graphical user interface and you can select ssh by clicking on the check box. Of course, you'll need to specify the IP of your linux box. Hope that helps.
