gnupg pgp kmail

Hi

i,m using gnupg 1.4.2
i succesfully imported gpg (winxp) keys and i'm able to crypt and encrypt succesfully from both platform gpg(winxp) and gnupg(linux)
but kmail (1.8.2) is unable to recognize secret pgp imported keys
(if i generate gpg keypairs ,then kmail is able to recognize)
how to proceed ?
