Heh, my apologies. I should've said addresses instead.
I sometimes warn against posting real IP addresses. Make one up instead or change the numbers to x's if it doesn't matter to the case. Call it being paranoid or a simple precaution, posting external IP addreses doesn't really matter when a box is well configured, but I wouldn't like to see some box broken into while ppl are working on it, or at least being "audited for free" for hours with nmap and whatnot. Btw, did ssh (arguments) -v -v -v show anything helpfull? |
Woot! I solved my prolem!
I feel a little stupid though. It appears that my remote server does not have sshd2. It only has sshd. After I setup the ssh1 keys and the authetication agent, i was able to "ssh -1 sigma". Thanks for all your help unSpawn and Gerard. You guys are awesome. And just so you guys don't think that talk is cheap, I do intend to make a donation to LinuxQuestions as soon as my PayPal account is activated. Sonny. |
