FWBuilder Help: Can't get it to load script automatically on boot
I have installed and configured FWbuilder on my RH9 and had successfully created a script to modify iptables. The script works and modifies iptables correctly BUT I cannot get the script to run automatically on boot. I placed a symbolic link to the script in /etc/rc.d/rc3.d
check permissions are correctly set on your script, I'm not entirly sure of the system init scripts of redhat as I've never used it, however you may want to check whether you have an rc.local script and execute the firewall script via that.
I have the same problem as Puma, although with a different firewall program. Can you please give an example of what the command to execute the firewall script in rc.local should look like?
Thanks!
Siri Amrit
I used an install script to load my .fw file (please note your .fw should be named the same as the firewall/linux box's host name) available at Sourceforge: LINK followed instructions and works great.
