security with FTP

Hi,
I'm new to the FTP server world. I have opened the port and setup the
VSFTPD as best I can figure. I am able to have other connect using there
passwords and thought I was OK. But today I noticed my internet access
light was blinking and I checked my server for access and found:
netstat -a | grep ESTABLISHED
TCP 0 34 server1.mydomain:ftp excalibur2.anyfas:57353 ESTABLISHED
Does the above mean that someone was able to get into the ftp server? I
think so. Below is my vsftd.conf file. Can someone point out what I'm
doing wrong. Thanks...
