Firewall for linux - Recommendation?
hi, im new on linux, i will install in this week linux Mandrake 9.1 , i want to know what firewall can you recommend me about.
BTW: what firewalls are better? ipchains based or iptables based?
BTW #2: will the firewall be graphical like windows firewalls, or command-line based?

iptables will be available under MD9.1
Mandrake has a gui tool to help you configure it (can't remember the name off hand).

and when i have iptables, i dont need any further firewall?
i heard about firewalls based on iptables, such as "Sharewall".
can u recommend about a good one?

I think you mean shorewall - it isjust a front end as is cyph3r7's suggestion. iptables does all the clever stuff.
