Iam a new commer in the world of Linux. But somehow i have managed myself to come across some of the commands and usage of linux.
I would like to configure a Firewall & Proxy server using Red Hat enterprise Linux. It is for a small network having only 15 systems as workstations and a mailserver. I have an Broadband internet connecting which is right now connected to the network switch directly.
My interest is to make the internet connection work through my linux proxy server. I should also like to prevent users accessing unwanted sites and download unwanted material.
Plese help me to configure this in a Red Hat Enterprise AS4 system, or please tell me where i will get the documentation.
I am happy that you replied to my question. But unfortunately iam not that much expert in linux (just a guy eger to learn such a wonderful software). Will you please help me get the documentation in a little more simpler way. Please help me. I have read your web site (Postfix and squid) but the pam authentication and the others confuse me a lot. Please help me as iam just a beginner.
