Evince saving PDF as 0600 but umask is 0022

Hi folks, happy new year!

Just having a frustration with Evince - not sure why but when I 'Save a copy' of a PDF the permissions are 0600.

When I type 'umask' i get 0022.

The permissions on the directory I'm saving into are drwxr-xr-x

Is this something peculiar with Evince or is there a way I can make it save these PDFs as 0644?
