I am just starting to look into encryption. I was wondering what the best way to go about either encrypting, or at least password protecting an ext2 thumbdrive would be...
I can't imagine a password as being adequate, except to keep out local users without much time or skill. Some strong encryption of the entire drive could result in stopping most amateurs from stealing and reading the drive, and they might just mistake it for a trashed or unreadable drive.
Well. Any chance you can point me in the correct direction for encrypting my thumb drive? And what is the best way to keep the key in an easy-enough to access place that I can get it at any time (when I need to use my thumbdrive)?
