Enabling TLS in Centos 6.8

Hi;

I want to enable TLS 1.2 in Centos 6.8 in order to send emails to our mail server which only accept encrypted emails.

Do you may know the steps?

DO I need additional information on how the email server has been set up? the only instruction I got from our email department is that to "enable the TLS".

That appears to return many links to all kinds of instructions and information.
