Does Eclipse make calls?
 

Hi,

Paranoid as I am, I ran a netstat -anpt and found eclipse in contact with 194.78.100.77 - so, is it normal for eclipse to even make contact with the outside?

I assume you can configure it. Eclipse and some plugins may go outside for example to check for updates.

That's reassuring...and also the fact that the outside IP address was from within the (trusted) pool of IP addresses from my provider...
