dns services

I've configured the primary dns (for an internal private network only) on the win2k first domain controller holding the active directory. I've configured a Linux server to be a DNS slave server for the same network. I can see on the Windows dns server that it has compiled a list of the Windows machines on the network in each zone, but not the Linux machines.

Can someone advise me?

I dont know how to check that the Linux DNS slave service is working
Thanks
