Disable accounts within RH 9


What are the steps (commands) are used to disablbe or block account access to non-root users?

Using usermod (read its man page) set user's login shell to, say /bin/true or /sbin/nologin. Creating /etc/nologin gives global effect (read 'man 5 nologin').
