data recovery: delayed delete

Hello all,

since I've been deleting important stuff a bit too often (and i don't need to be root for that..), I was wondering what to do to prevent it.

To my mind sprung a comment somewhere on the net on replacing 'rm' with a 'copy to trash' command, and an expunge script on poweroff or bootup. Would anyone know whether there's a framework already in place (utilities coded by a friendly programmer)?

I'm definitely not looking for undelete stuff - AFAIC, after 'rm', either there was a backup or not.

Regards,

Renato

That's not very difficult to do by yourself. Set an alias, eg: "alias rm='mv $1 /trash'"
