Content filtering for Postfix 2.0.x How to block attachments?
We have recently bought the Insight Server 4.1 from Bynari, which is based on Postfix 2.0.11. I wonder if there is am anti-virus program that can block all mail if some short of attachment goes with that mail.
Let's just say that a mail comes to a user with the card.swf file. Is there ANY anti-virus or/and application that can block this message? And what if the file was zipped or rared? Can it be blocked to?
Thank you!

I haven't done it myself, but I seem to recall that if Postifx was compiled with the PCRE option, it will support PERL Compatible Regular Expressions for matching e-mail messages (and dropping them). Also, I believe the MIME Defang scripts may have been ported to Postfix (they were originally written in MILTER for Sendmail, IIRC) but I'm not 100% sure.

Hi, thanx for the reply...
Well it all seems Greek to me... even if I'm Greek
Since I use postfix from an application, there is no way to know with what it has been compiled. So we go to option No2! Any portion about the "MIME Defang scripts"?
Thank you!
