Question configuring SSH2

I have installed the sshd2 on my server, i have remote access as root, but any other user is denied. Can somebody give me a cook book to configures the users access???

Check you sshd_config file to see if you have a line that says something like the following ( I am not sure of the exact sytax) ...

AllowUser root


AllowGroup root

If you have this line you need to add your users name or group to this list. Whenever you use this setting, anyone that is not specifically listed is denied.

This leaves you with two choices, you can either add your users name to the list of you can remove the setting completely.

hi again!!!

i think the problem is diferent, i edited the /etc/ssh2/sshd2_config file and i allowed the user and group, but doesn't work.

i used the key_gen shell to generate a public key for that user, but i don't know ahy is not working.
