I have set up my mail server for clamav to scan mails (slackware, sendmail). It runs weeks now with no problem. I was surprised about the amount of infected emails.
The senders seems to be valid users so I was thinking about if they are informed why were they rejected.
How responds the clamd (sendmail) to a rejected (infected) email?
I can see in logs:
Quote:
Milter add: header: X-virus-scanned: clamav milter 0.95 at server
Milter add: header: X-virus-status: Infected (Worm.SomeFool.P)
Milter: data, reject=554 5.7.1 command rejected

This is sent to the rejected sender?
How can I find out if these mails was really infected?
