Cool change the web server user - gpg problem

Hello

This is my first post! I am very new to linux, i am working on a remote server. i am setting up gpg for a secure form. I can encrypt decrypt from the shh console using the nobody user but when it comes to php script it doesn't see to be working.

currently nobody goes to tmp/ folder and thats also where the keyring is.

i am not sure what the web server user is, (nobody, apache?)
is there any way to check or set the web server user or can anybody give me any advice on setting up web server user to work with gpg

Thank you for any help

Marc

Maybe you should explain in more detail what you're trying to do.

sorry, it was mainly that i didn't know anything about the web server user. like how to find out which it is and what was its home directory so i could set up my gpg keyring. i found out about the passwd file, so was able to set the web server user home directoy and also be able to work out that nobody was the web server user.

So i am all sorted now and gpg is runing fine

thanks unSpawn
