To your original queston "my boss wants to me see if i can get into our wireless network"...There are differnet tools you can download and use to break for example: WEP, cisco LEAP which is based on CHAP v2. And I am not going to tell you how it is done and where to get these tools. You are going to have to do some research and play, trial and error. Others have stated you better get this in writing...definitely! You need your get out of jail free card. Being skilled at pen tests takes time, and this is something you are not going to learn overnight. If you boss is concerned about his wireless network and wants an answer soon, you might want to suggest to your boss about hiring an outside person to run the pen test and you can watch and learn. This way you can be sure that the results are going to be valid, you will not be liable, and you will get to learn a lot in the process. I know this isn’t the answer you were looking for but..”nx5000” is right: “I agree with the moderator, as we can't really trust you if you are doing a real penetration test or illegally hacking”.
