Block Messenger
Friends ,
I want to block just yahoo and msn messenger using Squid or Without Squid in my Linux Enterprise 4 Edition . How can i do it ? Plz help....

1. Search LQ with appropriate terms. I know there are more than a few complete threads on the subject here,
2. Test out given iptables rulesets.
If you get errors or if it doesn't work at all, reply here and add any error messages you get.

I used dansguardian to block messengers
Beware of this site too
http://www.meebo.com
you have to ban it in dansguardian but there still exist many other ways to bypass content filters

It's easy just install dansguardian configure to work with squid and then try to connect to MSN,Yahoo messenger, Google talk etc. and follow the dansguardian log file and accordingly ban the sites. Atleast i was able to block popular messengers in my company. But if there is a will there is way
