avast workstation good for suse 10.3?


I intend to download avast workstation as virus protection for my installation of Open Suse 10.3. Is this a good move?

It depends what you understand is this a good move .
It works but scanning the whole system take rather long time.
Although I do have the avast workstations , mostly I run the rkhunter

A good move to me is protects against viruses and doesn't cause problems with the op system. If it works for you I'll go for it.

I'll check out rkhunter too.

TO run rkhunter it is done in the command line as root or as a cronjob
