auto unmounting/unmapping of samba shares

i came across a critical situation when i mounted a share owned by me on someone else's machine.

The share i mounted asked me for authentication a usual, when i was done i closed the window.

again when i opened the file browser to mount the share i found that it didn't asked for authentication which made me conclude that it was mounted since last instance. No matter if its Linux or Windows machine it behaves the same way.

Now i want a workaround for this scenario, where if the file browser is closed, shares should unmount itself automatically.

So far it seems that its the way OSes are made but i want some suggestions from experts.

any input is appreciated.

thanking you.

I'm not sure this may help you but have a look at root postexec option.
