Hi,
im trying to authenticate from an LDAP and I think Im near to it, but when i use a corret user and pass from LDAP the system return the next error:

"User not known to the underlying authentication module"

I think the error is in the PAM files configuration but I have been trying with different configrations and I dont have anything.

I know the LDAP is authentifying because when I use a bad user or pass the system return different error.

Could somebody help me please?

If there's no usable error in syslog, try adding "debug" statements in the necessary PAM files.
Please post those lines from syslog.

How did you get so far, so far? I am not sure which HOWTO to use. The one that seemed best to me was dependent on using the krb5-kdc.schema, which is not a part of recent OpenLDAP distributions. I would prefer using Kerberos and integrate (replace the PDC?) with Windows , but I really just need to get single-sign on working for external access to a Bugzilla database and some internal web and file access.

I am running SuSE, which has a yast2userconfig.schema, which would be useful I would think, but I can not find any documentation on it.

Can you point me in the right direction?
