Any experiences with f-secure on linux?

Hi.

I have a license for F-Secure's Anti-Virus 4.52 and 4.64 together with F-Secure Client Security 5.11 and F-Secure Server Security 5.11 but before installing them, I'd like to ask whether someone might have had some experiences with these products?

My initial feeling is that F-Secure's Anti-Virus should clearly outperform e.g. ClamAV but, on the other hand, I'm not so sure.

And the Client Security and Server Security seems way too messy for my liking - I don't want anyone to mess with my iptables but, again on the other hand, detection of rootkits sounds nice, at least as an idea. I know that if these two products are anything like in Windows, I do not bother.

I ask this because I am a bit afraid that these products might disturb my whole system.

I have used f-secure and it works fine. There are some issues with it with archives, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

I have switched and now use AVG httpd://www.grisoft.cz. It seems to work fine.

Ok,

thanks - the comment eased my restless mind.

I'll try the Anti-Virus on one of my machines.
