Antivir

Hi,

I am new to Linux and recently installed Suse10, which I downloaded of the net. Does this come with the software Antivir?
If so then how do I set this up?
If not then how do I install it?

antivir is included in Suse 10.0.
start Yast2, search for "Antivir" and install it.
Configuration: see manual.

Hi,

Do you have a step by step guide?
As I dont think I am doing it right, unable to find it?

Unless your running your computer as a mail gateway for windows users, it isn't the end of the world if you don't have any anti-virus software installed.

The amount of linux virii in the wild is very low and a good firewall setup and sensible file downloading will be more than enough to avoid them.

To see if you have it you can open a terminal window and type antivir.
If you don't already have it you can download the installer from www.free-av.org The installer is text-based and asks a lot of questions but it's not difficult. And if you want ti run in the background as a daemon (like in Window$) you also need the dazuko module.
