12. DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK
Academic dishonesty is weak. I hope your job gets out-sourced to India. |

thought that portscan looked familiar, im doing the same course.
asking for help is not dishonest by the way its essential, especially when i need an A on this to drag my average up off the floor! |
I was gonna reply - but I am too shocked....I can't believe the points for each question are still there.
Guys'N'Gals you are seriously going to bias any information that you should find through search engines if you post in forums like this....(see Jester's post on the internal forum) |
Asking for help is one thing. Posting your entire asignment and saying "here, do this for me" is entirely different and is actually hurting you in the end. In fact posting a homework assignment is against the site rules. Feel free to check them out:

savage, hummmm, now theres a name that rings a bell. you dont work at portsmouth uni by any chance do you?
i was shocked too by the fact the marks were still there - you could have been a little more subtle cyrus. |
sorry to post the assignment on the forum .......
i apologize that this is my big fault. forgive me . |
Cyrus: Care to post any results? just asking
|
I dont wanna give any chance to laugh at me.
I think the Guy laugh at me also ark a stupid question on our school's forum. He also got some unuseful answer. any way, i can prove i can do the assignment, i just confusing at the beginning of doing the assignment. i dont want anyone to do them for me. only ask them to give me some hints. actually, I know when i finish the assignment by myself, i can learn more.but we cant get any feak back from the course. how can we know more? just serching on the internet foolishly?I dont believe. |
Cyrus, first thanks for editing your original post. Second, while we don't want people posting homework assignments and asking people to do their work for them, we _do_ encourage people to learn things about linux and especially about security in this forum. So if you have specific questions about things (like "what is telnet and why is it secure/insecure") feel free to ask them. There are a lot of knowledgable people who frequent this forum and I'm sure would be glad to help you learn something as opposed to doing your work for you, where you would learn pretty much nothing.
