allow access from external using iptables


hi

I have a Webserver / DNS with Debian Sarge
howto allow access to HTTP, FTP, DNS & SSH from outside (external) for anyone using iptables ?
external interface is eth0

If you have a gui, use fwbuilder.

If not, check out http://aboutdebian.com/firewall.htm

you'll need rules for TCP ports 80 (HTTP), 21 (FTP), and 22 (SSH), as well as UDP port 53 (DNS)...

thanks, but knows someone any script to show all current iptables roules ?

for the main chains:
