Smile additional size for encrypted files


hi,

does an encrypted file will be changed its file size? say a 50kb file will remain as 50kb or addtional bits will be added?

I know that in case of 3DES the file gets padded to a multiple of 8 bytes before it gets encrypted.
Not sure for others, but I think that the something similar applies.
