**help** worm.somefool.p


i just checked my email and i have some odd email from some place i have never visited, an email ive never seen, ya know? and it says I sent them a virus called worm.somefool.p ive checked the AVG database and it doesnt list it. my question: is thhhis a virus or some BS spam thing? and if indeed it is a virus..... where the hell did it come from? but more importantly how do i kill it? i run suse 9 personal

anyone got any recommendations for good anti-virus stuff for linux?

It is not you, but a fellow w-user that happened to have your email in his outlook address book (and other virus too).

theres no way a virus that exists in the hard drive with windows on it could have gotten into my linux drive is there?

Well, there have been some experiments on trying to run some viruses in windows emulator(wine), but there haven't been very much success yet.
