'force user' options does not work?

I log to my Linux server from a Windows machine as userA. In the linux server there's a share named [userB]. When I create a new file in userB's area (as userA), the ownership of the file is userA, not userB. To force this happens, I used in the smb.conf the option 'force user = userB' in the userB's share. It's suposed to work but doesn't: every new file created by userA in userB's area has userB ownership. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

I've used force user several times. Did you restart the smbd server?
