Please keep all posts in this thread on topic. I've removed a few posts because of this. Also, keep the following in mind:
* Off-topic posts, or posts that just say "me too", "I agree" or similar will not be counted as valid for eligibility in this contest for the two subscriptions being given away based on posting (of course, you'll still be eligible to win the subscription that will be given away simply for logging in).
* This thread is not in the LQS&F forum!

A couple notes on the magazine itself. For those who have never actually seen Linux Pro, it's a very high quality print job. It also comes with a DVD, which explains part of the higher price. I believe you can subscribe to the magazine without the DVD for a reduced price (and the digital subscription is significantly cheaper, as you'd expect). If members are interested, I can check into an LQ-member discount. As to why they are participating in this contest; we're working with them on some other things and this is part of that, but I'm sure additional interest in gaining subscribers is one of the reasons as well.
You know, in exchange for the chance to win a subscription to Linux Pro, taking a look at what it takes to become a contribution member and keep LQ here for when you need it, might be a better thank you. I've been a contributing member since I can remember, and LQ has always been here when I needed it.
