Thanks for the interest. Some additional information:

Responsibilities for this duty would include adding new distros, new versions of existing distros, and mirrors to existing distros. We'd like to make sure that new distribution versions are added quickly when they come out, as that's when the demand is highest. We'd also like to increase the number of mirrors included for most of the existing entries. The job is one that is almost entirely self led, although we're happy to help with any questions you may have. While a huge amount of time is not required per week (1-2 hours would be plenty), we are looking for people who are interested in doing this for the foreseeable future. It takes a little while to get up to speed on how things should be done, so high turnover is not desirable. There is also some attention to detail required, as we want to avoid duplicates, errors, etc. In addition to helping keep things current, you'd also be able to have a considerable amount of input into the design and functionality of the site. If this still sounds like something you'd be interested in, please contact me via the Contact Form. From there we'll select interested members. LQ ISO has facilitated over 50 million Linux downloads and it's great to see the interest level here.

Hi Jeremy

I can help, using Linux since Slackware 1.0 I think. I'm also a developer and consultant.

Kind regards
Andre

Please consider my application:
I have been building/using PC's since the first 8088's hit the market. While I am physically disabled,
there is nothing wrong with my brain. I have "some" experience in all areas involving PC's. The projected time involved is not a problem. And I welcome the opportunity to help Linux, which I have been using since ~1997, in any way that I can. Whatever I need to learn, I will absorb!

Thank You,

Ok, guys I'm new here, but a long Linux user, having set up a server ( with httpd god help me ) on slakware with kernel 0.98.0 while I was teaching at a local tech school.
went into hibernation while I was working with less Linux use than I should, but back with a vengeance now that I'm retired, and a constant visitor to distrowatch.

The one odd dist I can think off off hand is BBQ Linux, a live with as I remember 78 selections of window manager ON the DISK! (in the iso) 8|>

And would be happy as can be to play with downloading and updating whoever I can help

tnx \

chuck

Jeremy
I'm definitely interested in the following:
Many system-level mouse button Unify
Graphics programs: Inkscape, Gimp, Blender, Xara, etc mouse button to unify
WACOM TABLET AND PEN button settings (currently too complicated and confusing, the programs react differently, only three useful buttons 10)
Otherwise, congratulations to Jeremy, very good questions have for some time.
