I don't know how surprising this is. After all, if there's one company that can match Microsoft in terms of bullying and getting their way through sheer force of mass, it's Wal Mart
Walmart is something yucky and makes capitalism look bad. But no one with good ethical practices would be buying DRM'd crap such as online videos. If the people support it, it will NOT go away. People that actually give in and use IE to access the site, the joke's on them when they get a crap load of adware and other nasties.
I strongly suspect this is just a case of lazy programmers using IE-proprietary code rather than WallyWorld specifically going out of there way to block out other browsers (and potential customers).
If their stuff doesn't work, go somewhere else where they know how to properly program a website. Why give your money to a company with an online site design like that?
PS: If they can't design the site properly, who knows what else will not work correctly.
