Tux Droid : Robot that can Connect To A Linux Os
I made a search on the forum and haven't found anything on the Tux droid.
I believe everyone will find it very amazing. The tux droid is a robot connected to a computer. What is it made of ? - a microphone in the beak - speakers in the back => ability to connect Tux to external speakers Tux understands TCP/IP. This means you can send instructions to a Tux connected to a remote computer.. The Tux droid is made to communicate with a Linux machine. The hardware is compatible with Windows. Therefore, it is possible to develop an application that allows a Windows OS to send instructions to the Tux droid. The API of the Tux droid is developed in Python. Tux itself is developped in C processor (personnaly, I don't know what "C processoir" is). The API is open source. One of the reason the API is open source is to allow every user to play with his/her imagination and add his/her own features. Any Linux user can develop an API according to its desires. It looks great. It has a microphone in the beak, and speakers in the back. You can use as a microphone, or to do VoIP. Someone showed me the utility, you type a sentence like "my name is james bond" and choose the language (english or french) and choose the voice (male or female) and tux says it. outstanding :-) |
