Security Alert regarding Nividia Drivers from The Hacker News
 

The Hacker News just posted notification of a flaw allowing denial of service attacks through x server root privileges.

Nvidia explains "NoScanout" mode here: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3290 ("UseDisplayDevice" appears to be used for reordering device assignment like CRT's first, then TVs) and apparently they've fixed it already. I'll ask for this to be moved to the News section as it would be more appropriate there IMHO, you don't have to do anything.
