You know what would be nice? If PCLinuxOS could install without starting X and without booting the entire operating system and to install from an alternate source. I recently tried to install PCLinuxOS on a notebook computer with a faulty CD-ROM drive. When I finally got it to boot it was impossible to install onto the hard disk because the CD-ROM would stop working during the file copy process. It's really frustrating that your installation process doesn't make any accommodation for installing from an alternate source. Installing from a text console would be good too. The boot menu option to install from /dev/sda1 apparently doesn't work. At least it didn't work on this notebook computer.

I seriously suggest you take this up with the folks at PCLinuxOS.com and MyPCLinuxOS.com. They are very accomodating about incorporating suggestions. I think yours is a good one for many reasons. It's a great distro and would be good if this option was available as a choice for more advanced users.
I'd only be a more advanced user if I got started with PCLinuxOS.
Looks pretty sweet; I'm sure there are more than the superficial differences we can see from screenshots.

It is a good distro. I've been using it for about six months. I've used a lot of other distros. If you look at my posts on this site you will see that I recommend this distro frequently. It comes with everything that you want. Everything seems to work out of the box. I really love PCLinuxOS 93a Big Daddy.
Nice to see a distro finally including FrostWire! An the looks are great as well. Maybe I'll give this distro a try.
Yep, they've included it at least as far back as 0.93 (the current stable version). It is nice to have it there already, but PCLinuxOS is good for compiling from source, so if something's absent, you're unlikely to screw up the whole installation.
