Well, it appears they are alo protesting the possible introduction of patents in the EU. I wouldn't worry too much at the moment coz last year quite a few sites did a similar thing. Its just to encourage people to be proactive about the issue.
Really! You have got to be kidding! It is a shame that this has happened if it has because it seemed like a nice player. Note: If it is wrong, next time get your facts right!
If Big brother Gates is on their tail, it will be because of the name AMSN so closely matching MSN. They sued Lindows for it and forced them to change theirs to "Linspire" (yuch!). As far as the appli itself is concerned, well..., they'd have to go after kopete, gaim, and a whole lot of others, and that's too prohibitive. It's too late for M$ & other proprietary software people. Everything they try to do will be surpassed (or reverse-engineered) by open-source developers.
