Wrong: M$ wants OS-standards to comply to *their* interpretation of *their* standards. That would make those OS-standards compete with and infringe on the M$ patents and M$ then could sue them to death. Just how M$ likes it...

Very true, but where is Big Brother through all this? Is false advertising, false accusation, harassment, and gaining profits from such activities no longer against the law, or does stealing and patenting crappy software for 30 years make one an exception?
Hell, even the price for Windows should be illegal, even if it worked!
