Talking speaking of steve balmer and bill gates

Here's another funny article about them:

Bill Gates Receives 4 million emails per day, most of it spam
Friday, November 19, 2004 Posted: 7:38 AM EST (1238 GMT)

Microsoft has a department set up to filter spam intended for Gates, Microsoft's chief executive says.

SINGAPORE (AP) -- Forget trying to flood Bill Gates' e-mail inbox with junk.

The Microsoft Corp. chairman receives 4 million e-mails a day, but practically an entire department at the company he founded is dedicated to ensuring that nothing unwanted gets into his inbox, the company's chief executive said Thursday.

"There are two people who probably are the number one spam recipients in the world," Steve Ballmer said.

"Bill Gates (is first) because he is Bill Gates. Bill literally receives four million pieces of e-mail per day, most of it spam."

Spam or junk e-mails are unsolicited messages, generally advertising goods or services and usually sent to many e-mail accounts simultaneously, often indiscriminately.

Ballmer said Microsoft has special technology that just filters spam intended for Gates.

"Literally there's a whole department almost that takes care of it," he said.

Ballmer did not name the second most-spammed e-mail account, but said he also ranks among the world's top spam recipients because he hands out his e-mail address -- steveb@microsoft.com -- whenever he travels or speaks.

But being one of the top people at the world's top software company has its perks. Ballmer said only about 10 junk e-mails make it through to his inbox each day because of Microsoft's anti-spam technology.

He was in Singapore for the company's Government Leader's forum, which ends Friday.

opsraja,I have just read about this article.A pending patent lawsuit againist Linux has been around the IT news this year,or even last year. However,I have some opinions about the future of Linux.

As you all know, the development of Linux is backed by IBM.With the support from this "Blue giant" and most of the countries using Linux,I think you find it very hard to kill Linux!

One of the way to eliminate a good software is to sue you (Patent) until you have no money in your pocket.

Are you talking about SCO?

With IBM, Novell and HP (to some extent) backing Linux today, it's getting very hard to kill it.

From another Linux site:
Q: Where does Bill Gates get all his spam from?
A: Probably from all those inappropriate (adult) sites he visits.

This statement is utter ridiculous nonsense, hogwash, rubbish, junk and a waste of time and space...

They don't even know what Open Source is all about. The only problem is, some of their potential customers are led to believe their junk talk.

Its probably a scapegoat for him so his customers don't switch to something that hes not making money off of. Look how his lawsuits end up though. He sued lindows and that just made it even more popular

Ballmer says that you never know who created the program in the first place? What's up with that? Of course you do. The authors name is in most cases all over the source code. And besides that, if the source code is well commented you may not need an author, you can continue to maintain it anyway.

Ballmer is just full of BS.

Yes, "Ballmer Scatology". The biggest problem I'm having is that I've encountered potential Linux converts when actually believe this.

Oh, that is terrible. Where is the world heading when people do believe that? Why don't we just reverse our evolution of thinking and understanding and go back and continue to believe that the world is flat and that the sun is bigger then the stars? If we can't see Ballmers lies for what they are then how can we even think of sending robots to Mars? It is insanity.
