I've just recently replaced Windows with Ubuntu after finding that 1. I could run some of my favourite apps with Wine and 2. I could do it all via WiFi. Unfortunately this has been possible with only one of my machines.

On another Wine doesn't work nor does the wireless connection. So that's why I joined up. Will be looking for drivers and more solutions.

Cool The value of this forum

Thanks to this forum I was able to install Ubuntun on an old machine that MS Windows would no longer support the drivers on.
Thank you!

I even got the wireless and DVD working!

This is my first post, I rarely ask question but that doesn't mean I know a lot. I just figured that almost all type of questions has been asked so I just search and do a lot of reading to fix my GNU/Linux troubles. Needless to say LQ is a great source of information with a bunch of people willing to help, more power LQ. (Now I wonder...can I have one of those LQ shirts ).
