Yay! Now, if only I could get one. ("not in the UK, due to lack of demand.") (Well, if I had the money... :D)

How long until they're actually ready to be bought?

Did anyone notice that the date on this article was Aug 4, 2006?

Of course, the subsequent BBC link was reported as "last updated" on August 6 2007.

Am I reading it wrong, or is that report dated from a year ago?

Also, Dell has been selling servers with a couple flavors of linux for a while now.

I can only speculate on why the roll out of the SLED Laptops is so slow. In my opinion the Ubuntu Dells are somewhat overpriced. If Dell could make it worth the extra money by providing technical support of the product then it would be worth it. However, tech support is an extra not included with the price of purchase. :(
