Does this mean we'll be buying Intel equipped devices with McAfee embedded whether we want it or not?

No, it merely means Intel will port McAfee to Moblin and open up the code.

This sounds rather fishy...a hardware corporation buying a software corporation? With the intention of building "security features" into its hardware? Call me the tin-foil-hat type, but I don't like this...

Agreed -- except that Intel is on par with Google in regards to how much code they FOSS up.
