O.K. Jeremy, I'll throw my name into the hat since I'm moving next month to Olympia, WA - just a hundred miles north of Portland -- so I'd actually be able to attend if my name was pulled out.
My open-source contribution is to offer advice here on LinuxQuestions when someone asks a question to which I believe I can contribute something and I also participate -- in a very minor way -- in the discussion of legal issues related to FOSS in "Pamela Jones'" GrokLaw forum.
I'm not going to enter into a long diatribe here. I'd just like to say that I would really like to attend OSCON. I'm based in the UK but I can just about afford the travel.
For the last three years I have been working on a Linux based solid-state computer system. It will be a low-power, "green" option targeted at small, not-for-profit companies. If I get to Oregon I would love to have a look around generally as I have heard that the State of Oregon has already implemented many "green" initiatives.

Hi it's me again, Randy Bardaje from the Philippines, I want to be a part of OSCON this coming July. I really want to attend that seminar and get more knowledge about Open Source and i will pass that knowledge to my fellow Open Source lovers in my country. Open Source is just about to go big time in the philippines, Small and Medium businesses and schools are now migrating from microsoft to UBUNTU/RedHat/SUSE and other Open Source applications. OSCON will be a very big help to the Open Source community in the Philippines. As one of the IT Pro that campaigns Open Source to our country i would really appreciate a Gratis Pass for OSCON this coming july.

Congratulations. The runners up are PTrenholme and Adam Moore (in order) who will get the pass in the event that wnkltd is unable to attend. See you at OSCON.
Nice to see that LQ is a lot more than just a forum where people can post there queries. Kudos to you for maintaining a nice portal Jeremy. Keep up the good work!
