Hi,

I'm from Peru, I work for a media company. We are in the middle of the deployment of new systems to replace ASP + MS-SQL solutions. Yes, MySQL is our choice for database solution so we are working optimizing our applications. Personally I'm very interested in the mysql-proxy project.

Regards.

sorry, i would but being a poor high school student with no chance of getting to the west coasts, and my mom would probably be like no, and i'm not even a good programmer or anything, i know a little, but not really enough to say so

Thanx but no thanx!

I appreciate the invite but I have tried to never set foot in the 4thReich if I can avoid it - so I won't be coming - though I do value highly the LQ forums - and the "opensource" paradigm in general.

On my first, and sofar only, overseas trip I had to pass through LAX but I made a point of not leaving the airport.
I was on my way to and from Nicaragua - when Adolf Reagan was threatening them with the crosstika in the '80's. After so many decades of "freedomandemahcracy" under the Somozas the USnazis can't allow people to choose/organise their own governments.

It's lucky that the $US seems to be collapsing and that the Fuehrer is so occupied with bringing Iraq down to the level where it should be at the moment. After having had stats twice as good as anywhere else in that part of the world under that, admittedly very unpleasant person, Saddam.
Or Adolf Bush the christofascist - who, it seems, might possibly have been involved in the wonderful 911 day that I've been perhaps mistakenly giving St. Osama credit for, would have to stamp out the "axis of evil" which is rapidly growing in AmericaCentral/delSur.
Mutual support and assistance between countries - bad business - sounds like cahmmunism. Better give Senator Joe McCarthy a call - or maybe he could ask for help from the nucleararmed gang of DavidStar fascists who have been occupying Palestine for the last 60 years or so.

Sounds very interesting, but unfortunatly i live in Cyprus now and i am studing to the University of Cyprus to the computer scinece department and this is a very loaded period :(
However i am using MySQL when i have to write databases applications, most of the times i prefer VB (i have found it better than java - any comments on this are welcome). All the databases applications i have done were for single users and i would like to built a disributed database for multiple users. Here is the big challenge
C U guys

Hi... I work for a small Western Washington web development firm running MySQL on Debian as a developer and database guru/administrator. We are currently overhauling our servers setup to increase scalability, and I'm really interested in some of the sessions on managing backups, replication, and other fail-over strategies.

Thanks for the offer, regardless of who wins it!

thank's but i am from GREAT INDIA

archon810 03-18-2008 01:13 AM

I would like to jump on this great opportunity to go to the conference - something I would love to do. I am a backend developer for a major video search engine, dealing primarily with MySQL and Perl. I love all aspects of MySQL, from both developer and administrator points of view. My google reader has 90% mysql related feeds. Ideally, I would love to become a MySQL guru and move into MySQL consulting. Peter Zaitsev is my idol right now.

Whether I get the pass to the conference or not, I would like to send huge props to LQ for the offer - a really selfless act that I and, I'm sure, the rest of the open source community, appreciate.
