Google Joins the Coalition to Protect Linux from Microsoft.

Doesn't appear that LXer has picked this one up yet.

Google is on the verge of becoming the next MS. Public Enemy # 1. But, for now we'll have to accept the enemy of our enemy as a friend.

I actually posted this to the News subforum 3 ot 4 days ago. Since that time, I have seen a related LXer link, but it was to a lesser version of the story.

I learned my lesson, tho. Next time I want to share a "News" story, I'll put it in some other forum where it won't languish until it's stale.

Goggle has the resources to throw mud back at MS. Not too many have, so this is welcome news.

However, Google may be positioning themselves nicely to climb to the information control summit. They play both ends against the middle and win out in the long run.

They also bear watching.
