For all the hype, it a let down......... i can't even get it to work right. I wiped my profile, wiped my firefox install reinstalled etc. it keeps loading that same damned profile which i wiped!
Edit: ok, it seems since firefox was complete loaded into RAM it didn't want to reload everything an hence stuff got screwed up.

Wooohooooo!!! I don't know why this is so exciting for me, but I just danced a little jig in my living room. I just finished installing the official 1.0 release on my Linux box, with no problems, and am about to install it on my XP laptop. It just seems like such an important milestone - anything that can put up a good fight with Microsoft is a good thing, because competition makes all products involved stronger (or, the better product will eventually win out!! And we all know the better product is NOT Internet Explorer!)
Anyway, I'm giddy as a schoolgirl to see Firefox go official. Good for them - and good for us!!!
Just upgraded to 1.0, took fifteen minutes (on my crappy dialup!)
only glitch was a couple of extensions won't work, no big deal. Kudos to the Firefox team! Hopefully some day soon ALL Linux updates will work this well.
Oh I have just discovered your joy!!!!! My hyperlinks in Thunderbird are now properly opening in Firefox, and my mailto's are also working as they should with Thunderbird.
