That's the sort of line that attracts a lot of attention because of the word, "trillionaire," but I think that it's otherwise mostly empty talk.

"AI technology" is already very much mainstream. You can talk to devices already. Computers can (like it or not ...) pick license plates and faces out of a picture. These uses have already entered the main stream, and a significant number of them were open source, removing the ability to patent something.
